Singer/Artist Maya    She has 23 years music career and she will be celebrating 2025 for her 24th anniversary.
Maya has more than 16 years career in Japan. Maya is a singer, songwriter and voice trainer who hails from Osaka,Japan.

Her musical influences came from her mother ,a classical piano

/organ teacher and music teacher /classical music soprano and chanson/Flutist/Koto player/ , and her father who is an American music lover.

When she was 13 years old Maya took a solo part in choir for the first time.She sang the most widely know song "Oh Happy Day",in front of 2.000 people lecture hall as well as known called MIHO Museum. In that moment she felt the power of music,Especially Gospel music. She found that Gospel music has a powerful message that can directly touch your soul.This experience strongly motivated her to focus on her goals and In 2002 she started formal vocal training at Power Sound Square Music Academy when she was 14 years old, later in 2008-2009 she became a qualified Vocal instructor.

She has done so many live concerts and recording work for company/product Commercial song. and

Radio personality and Voice training teacher.

In 2006 She won Grand Prix in vocal contest as a soloist and she got a full scholarship to music school.

When she was teen she joined Gospel Group as a lead singer  Sprit of "Brown eyed soul" choir won the "Outstanding Gospel Artist" Gospel Award.  and Released CD.

Since then Maya has performed in more than 100 venues, Festivals, Weddings , Celebration Party, Ceremony,Countdown Live, Restaurants, Christmas show, dinner Show, Recording jobs(song/Jingle),Sony Music Presentation,Universal Music Event, also she released the first album "September",Cellphone ringtone.

Also, She worked as a "EOE" with Japanese famous unit "Def Tech" who was released "Mind Shift."

In 2014, she came to NY. She was selected for Mcdonald’s Gospel fest as solo female finalist 2015.2017.

Performed at the famous Apollotheater amateur night, a big event Harlem week 2015 "A GREAT DAY IN HARLEM" at U.S Grant National Memorial Park on 122nd street.  

In 2015, Maya collaborated with Kenji Williams (Bella Gaia).

Maya joined The Reach Music Ministry founded by PASTOR TERRANCE L.KENNEDY in 2016.

and Gospel Mission Ministries Church.(The Bronx) 

Harlem Summer Stage, Webstar Hall ,Manhattan church, and many more.

She also performed for Youth Assembly United Nations Cultural night at Colombia University Alfred Lerner Hall NYC  as a professional performers, at this time an audience are Youth from all over the world to attend

Youth Assembly at United Nations.

Since 2016- 2019 She had been singing as a lead singer in "Marble Gospel Community Choir" and  Classic Choir "Marble Festival of Voices"at Marble Church.The Marble Collegiate Church is one of the oldest church in Manhattan,New York.

In 2017, She performed with Wayne Holmes  who is an orchestra leader, pianist, singer, organist, choir, director, music educator, writer, arranger, and mentor. and Mr, Holmes was the only person in the world who had the blessing and authorization from the Ray Charles estate to perform Ray Charles.

In 2017, Maya performed with Fumio Tashiro for Music night and R&B/JAZZ night at Mirror Tea House in Brooklyn.

He is a very last person who had been studied and play with a legend Jazz bassist/photographer Mr.Milt Hinton.

He have performed at JVC JAZZ festival at Danny Kaye Playhouse in June,2000.And He was given all of Mr.Hinton's extraordinary technique as a Jazz bassist and was passed over Mr.Hinton's Photograph.

 At the same time Maya worked song which was released "Tinkle" by famous Japanese Idol Minami Takahashi.(AKB48) written by Koji Tamaki who is the most famous Japanese singer/musician. She worked song  "Higher" released   by Amu& K-cox on download streaming services from Newyork to the world.She also participated charity event by Japanese american association of NY Inc and NY Japanese American "Lions clubs charities" Inc. In 2020 Her singing group " Ryen and Soul" released on You tube  "Nobody's born a bigot" featuring "Jane Eliot" who is an American anti-racism activist, diversity educator, and former teacher, born in Iowa in 1993.

She is globally renowned for creating the controversial "Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes"exercise in 1968, the day after Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated.This exercise demonstrates the irrationality of prejudice by dividing people into groups based on arbitrary physical traits, like eye color. Her work, documented in films like Eye of the Storm and A Class Divided, has led to a full-time career in diversity training and activism.

Maya  returned to Japan, she teach to singers and kids as a Vocal Trainer.

12歳から本格的にトレーニングを始め、数々のボーカルコンテストで優勝。14歳で綾戸智絵さんなどを輩出したジャズバーでプロシンガーとして歌い始め、16歳でゴスペルクワイアのリードシンガーとして活動、クワイアは日本最大のゴスペルフェストで2009年に優勝。その他、コマーシャルやジングル、アーティストの曲参加など、レコーディング、バンドのリードボーカル、企業のパーティーや結婚式、レストラン、など100箇所以上、様々なキャリアを持つ。渡米するまでは、日本のメジャーアーティストDef TechのアルバムMind ShiftにEOEとして参加後に、日本のR&BシンガーあのAI氏から探し続けた逸材と言われ、AI氏のプロデュースを直々に受けたが、R&B／ネオ・ソウル歌手として知られるエリックベネイさんに見出され先に渡米。全米最大のゴスペルフェストのソロファイナリストに2015年、2017年に2万人の中から選ばれた4人のうちのひとり、アジア人ソロフィーメールシンガーとして選ばれ、ステージ後アポロシアターアマチュアナイト出演オファーをアマチュアナイト審査員のキャシー氏から直々に受け、アマチュアナイトにも出演。その後ニューヨークの様々なイベントからオファーを受ける。国際連合会、ハーレム協定会、夏に開催されるハーレムのビックフェス、ハーレムウィーク、ハーレムサマーステージ、歴史あるライブハウス、ウェブスターホール、そしてマンハッタン、ブロンクスの教会、社会奉仕団体「ライオンズクラブ国際協会」が主催するチャリティーイベントを筆頭に積極的にチャリティーイベントにも参加。2017年に、オープンマイク登竜門と言われたビレッジアンダーグラウンドの司会を務めるレジェンド、ロン　グラント氏より、オープンマイク後に、ビジネスカードをもらい一緒に音楽の仕事をしよう。とロングアイランドにあるスタジオセッションや、レッスンなど受ける。

Mr, Ron GRANT ロングラント氏は、チャーリーウィルソンや、マックスウェル、マライアキャリー、マンハッタンズ、etc....などさまざまなセレブリティアーティスト、ミュージシャンに楽曲提供や、プロデュース、歌唱指導、そしてニューヨークマンハッタンの若い世代のシンガー、ミュージシャンたちにプラットフォームも作り続け、プロデュースし数々のスターを世に生み出した伝説の人物として有名で今でも名前が受け継がれている。

そのうちの1人が、今世界で活躍中の、コーリーヘンリーはロン氏の生徒の1人。

そして、ニューヨーク州、マンハッタンからアップステート、ブルックリン、ロングアイランド、クイーンズで幅広く活動し、

数々のオープンマイクに出演、実力が認められ、レイチャールズのピアニスト、ウェインホームズ氏、マンハッタンズのピアニスト、ハウイーロビンズ氏、アリシアキースのベーシスト、アルカーティー氏、恩師ボーカルコーチ、ダイレクター(指揮者)、ピアニストでもあるステイシーペンソン氏など多数と共演。ペンソン氏は、アリシアキースのボーカルコーチ、DEFJAMに勤めていたこともあり、数々のラッパーやシンガーに歌唱指導、またジュリアードをピアノ主席で卒業し、ボストンシンフォニーの指揮を務める。小澤征爾に、指揮者としてアドバイスをするなど、クラシック音楽界でも名が高い。ステイシーペンソン氏のお友達、キャスリーンバトルもmayaのゴスペルコンサートのソロ曲の歌声を聴き、素晴らしかったとお墨付き。

ペンソン氏の指導で、キャスリーン氏が手掛けたクラシックの歌い方基礎と、発音の正しい位置などが記載された教科書を徹底的に学び、

2018年の年末と2019年の年始には、世界的にも有名なマンハッタンのど真ん中にあるエースホテルニューヨークでのカウントダウン、ニューイヤーズパーティーライブを務め、そのホテル前にある5番街の100年以上あるマンハッタンで最も古いマーブル教会で、実力が認められ、ゴスペルクワイヤーを率いてリードシンガーとしてゴスペルコンサートのトリや、ソロ、セクションリーダーの一員として務め、その実力と才能を評価され、世界でも美しいクラシッククワイアーとして認知されている、マーブル教会専属クラシッククワイヤーFestival of voices のダイレクターより引き抜かれ、クラシック聖歌隊としてもアルトシンガーで毎週日曜日のミサに参加。そして同時に、日本のアーティストの楽曲制作にも携わっている。Def Tech/玉置浩二/高橋みなみ(AKB)/ など

2020年コロナ禍に、所属していたソウルバンド Ryen and Soul がYou tube にてリリース。"Nobody's born a bigot" featuring "Jane Eliot" 社会活動家、教育者としてアメリカで革命を起こしたジェーンエリオットと差別についての曲をフィーチャリングしている。

2020年4月に自身がコロナに感染し激痛で息ができなくなり酸素吸入器をつけた状態で数ヶ月寝たきりになった。治療がないまま過ごし何とか日本に1年後に帰国するが、治療がなく、メンタル崩壊と、生きる希望を失った。謎の身体の激痛により、歌うことも、生活すらままならず、様々な治療を試すが良くならず、帰国1年後に自力で探し出した血管治療手術を2回受け、何とか痛みから解放され、帰国2年後、コロナ感染から3年、ようやく歌えるようになり2022年11月に復帰ライブ。10代の頃にfunk/R&B band エレクトリックサーカスと活動していたこともあり、仲間からの励ましと、サポートにより復帰ライブからまた音楽活動を再開。2023年5月、高槻JAZZ STREETにelephant beatzと出演。7月に参加しているelephant beatzの楽曲配信リリースパーティ。現在はリハビリをしながら、音楽活動も並行し、ボーカルトレーナー/コーチとしてアダルトシンガーやキッズにコーチングしている。
